But when he gets old enough for a longer book it will be a good one. It comes across as very real. Then his observation that the cookies are now tainted so he gives them to the boy. His observations of the bullies is interesting.
I can't wait to read it to my son when he is old enough. I have the feeling I am really inside the mind of a boy who is thinking about things. And if grown ups are so smart why do they allow kids to bully other kids. Once again I purchased a book that is for older kids when my boy is only 4. This book is too long and in depth for him. It is in clear language from the point of view of a kid who is bullied. The part about a snotty nose boy who snatches his cookies and takes a bite out of each and returns them.
I like it. I haven't actually finished this book. I read bits and pieces through out the book, and it is very well written. He says I was only 3 how did I know.
My grandson loves the Jake Drake books.He is in the in-between ages of being read to and learning to read himself, so these are perfect. They arrived in the condition they were advertised in and ahead of time.Thank you,alemesh@aol.com
Instead, I handled it pretty much the same way Jake did.not with the same results though. Jake reinforces all of the "old school" stereo types.don't tell, telling will make it worse. Kids should not be told that "tattleing" is wrong. I wish that I HAD trusted someone to help me out.
This book will be thrown in the trash. Parents, help your kids. Kids, ask for help. I remember being bullied all through school. I wish that I had handled the bullying differently than I did. I wish that I HAD told my teacher. Kids should not be afraid to talk to their parents or to their teacher.
I usually donate used books to my local library. I am 52 year old grandmother and I purchased this book from another vendor for my granddaughter without reading it first. I wish that I HAD told my parents. The person bullying, for WHATEVER reason, is WRONG.
It is a good book.The book is about this boy that likes to pick on people.He picked on Jake.He likes to make fun of people like Jake.The little boy thinks that he is all that,but he is not.Well i think you should read this book.The book is coming of age.The boys name is Link.Well Link and Jake both have sisters.Well Link's sister likes to pick on Jakes sister.Well I think that they should not pick on people like that.They do that because they think that it makes them cool.But it doesn't it makes they look stupid.well i think that you should read this book.
The book is about bully's and being mean (which we should not do). I would recommend this book to everyone and I would say if you like Jake Drake bully buster try reading the other books too. Link was a brat to Jake and Jake was sick of being messed around with and just wanted his class to be "bully free" but I guess that couldn't happen. I read Jake Drake bully buster.It is a great book and if you asked me to give you up to five stars it would be five stars.I thought that it was a great book and that ages 8 and up would be a great age to be reading this book. The writer of the book made you really get into the book you would not want to stop reading it. One of the charters is Link he was 8 years old and wanted to be the MVP on the bully "all star team" and I think all kid's would say he made the team.
